Newspoll is a regular survey that tracks support for Australia's political parties and shows which parties voters would prefer in government. The results are closely watched because they provide an indication of how voters' preferences are shifting.

Australia's three main political contenders are the Labor Party, currently in government under Prime Minister Anthony Albanese; the Coalition, the traditional main opposition; and One Nation, led by Pauline Hanson, which has recently gained significant voter support. The polls track both party support and voter preferences for who should be prime minister.

The results show Australia's political landscape currently split between three main contenders, with voters' support distributed relatively evenly. In recent years, One Nation has moved from being a marginal force in electoral politics to a significant player, whilst the traditional dominance of Labor and the Coalition has shifted.
