Iconic Bigfoot Footage Confirmed Fake by New Documentary
A new documentary, *Capturing Bigfoot*, presents evidence that Roger Patterson’s famous 1967 footage of Bigfoot was staged. The film’s director, Marq Evans, brings together material that it says supports the conclusion, adding to the long-running debate over one of the best-known images associated with the creature.
The documentary includes the original clip, about 40 seconds of apparent rehearsal footage and video of Bob Hieronymus walking in a way that resembles the figure in the film. The material reportedly came to light through Teresa Brooks, whose father, Norm Johnson, was involved in Patterson’s scheme. *Capturing Bigfoot* will be available to rent on Prime Video from 20 October.
