Prime Video’s 8-Episode Stephen King Series Gets First Season 2 Update [Exclusive]

Prime Video’s eight-episode adaptation of Stephen King’s *Carrie*, starring Summer H. Howell, has no confirmed second season. Howell said she has heard discussion about the possibility and is waiting for Amazon to decide, while creator Mike Flanagan has ideas for continuing the story.

Flanagan has previously described a three-season vision, but Amazon has not renewed the series and no release date for further episodes has been announced. Howell said she had not read the novel or watched earlier adaptations before taking the role; she also described Carrie and her mother Margaret’s relationship as rooted in love and protectiveness.
