France in flames is preview of what ‘DSA’ Democrats want for US, senator warns
Senator Eric Schmitt warned that unrest in France shows what he says Democratic policies could bring to the United States. He linked the warning to the approaching contest for control of the House, accusing Democrats of obstructing the Trump administration’s agenda and arguing Republicans must show voters practical results.
Schmitt pointed to Boeing’s planned fighter programmes in Missouri, which he said would create 7,000 direct jobs, as well as a federal enforcement operation in St Louis. The Justice Department said Operation Show Me Justice led to 435 arrests, the seizure of 166 firearms and 81 kilograms of drugs, and more than $1.25 million linked to suspected illegal transactions; officials announced its conclusion on 15 October.
