The BBC’s 3-Part ‘MobLand’ Replacement Officially Renewed

The BBC has renewed crime drama *This City Is Ours* for a third season, ahead of its second-season premiere. The early commission follows a strong debut and means the Liverpool-set series will continue its story of a criminal family and the power struggle surrounding its boss’s planned retirement.

The first episode attracted nearly 8.5 million viewers, making it 2025’s biggest new drama launch, and the BBC ordered a second season in May. Season 2 is due to premiere on 25 October 2026, with Shaun Evans and Álvaro Morte joining the cast; creator Stephen Butchard is set to return as lead writer for the third season.
