South Boost: María Ripoll and Max Lemcke Feature in a Project Lineup Reflecting Andalusia’s Growing TV Ambitions
South Boost has selected six Andalusian television projects to present in Cádiz to potential production partners, broadcasters and streaming platforms. The initiative’s growing submission numbers and broader selection reflect rising ambitions in the region’s TV industry, while the organisers say they are prioritising projects they believe can realistically reach production.
The third edition received 36 submissions, compared with 22 in 2025 and 15 in 2024, and expanded its lineup from five projects to six. The selection ranges from María Ripoll’s Cádiz-set thriller “La playa de los alemanes” to a psychological horror series directed by Max Lemcke, alongside science fiction, comedy and historical drama. The projects will compete for the Andalucía South Boost Award.
In short
