Drunk Brit who exposed vagina on flight cost TUI £20,000

A British passenger’s behaviour on a TUI flight led to the aircraft being diverted and cost the airline £20,000, a court heard. Sarah Parker, 30, has admitted outraging public decency, being drunk on a plane and failing to follow the pilot’s instructions.

The flight left Birmingham for Florida on 24 July 2025, though Parker was travelling to Melbourne, Australia. During take-off, after cabin crew told her to remain seated, she exposed herself in the aisle, distressing passengers. Magistrates sent the case to the Crown Court because their sentencing powers were insufficient; sentencing is expected at Minshull Crown Court on 1 December.
