New Xbox PC app update boasts 60 percent faster load times, but I probably still won’t use it

Microsoft has begun rolling out an Xbox PC app update to Insiders, promising faster load times and a more responsive experience. The changes aim to improve the app for people who play Xbox games on PC, though the article’s writer says they are unlikely to switch to it.

Xbox says the app now launches 60 per cent faster, while in-app operations are about 50 per cent faster. The update also aims to refresh the Xbox cloud gaming apps, and is described as a simpler experience that will eventually reach all users. Microsoft says user feedback will help shape further improvements.
