Carson Daly lifts the lid on ‘Today’ show cast’s wild nights out: ‘We have a good time’

Carson Daly said the “Today” show cast enjoys festive drinks and lively gatherings after work, with co-anchor Laura Jarrett describing their happy hours as starting around 1 p.m. The comments came as Daly was announced as a permanent co-anchor of “Saturday Today”, adding a sixth day to his work with the programme.

Daly, 53, will continue hosting the weekday show and join Jarrett, Joe Fryer and Angie Lassman on Saturdays. The cast also holds a white elephant gift exchange; Savannah Guthrie previously recalled losing a molar after a “Today” Christmas party. Colleagues celebrated Daly’s new role with a pint of Guinness and praised his contribution to the show.
