Google built-in is Google’s system for cars, bringing services such as Google Maps and the Play Store onto the vehicle’s dashboard. The Play Store is Google’s shop for apps, and in cars it offers apps designed for use on the dashboard, including navigation and entertainment.
Drivers and passengers can browse and install apps, but video and other distracting features are generally intended for use while the car is parked. The range of available apps depends on the car and its software, and Google’s changes are aimed at making the store easier to use across different dashboard screens.
