West Midlands businessman Tony Hall identified after Swiss Alps plane crash
West Midlands businessman Anthony “Tony” Hall has been identified as the second Briton killed in a plane crash in the Swiss Alps. The Cirrus SR22T aircraft crashed near Leukerbad in Valais on 15 September, killing Hall and two others; the incident is being investigated, but its cause remains unknown.
Hall was managing director of Pegasus, a construction and recycling company, and owned Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport, purchased by his company for £4.5 million in 2023. His family described him as a devoted husband and father, while former MP Suzanne Webb and Pegasus colleagues praised his business achievements, charity work and support for the local community; the aircraft had taken off from Sion Airport and crashed into a mountain slope about 10 minutes later.
