Ana Navarro said she would refuse an invitation to dine with President Donald Trump, sparking a disagreement with fellow hosts on “The View”. The discussion followed Trump’s dinner with Bill Maher, Stephen A. Smith and Kid Rock, and highlighted contrasting views about whether meeting political opponents can be useful.

Navarro said she would not share a meal with Trump because of his administration’s treatment of Latinos, which she described as cruel and criminal, and argued a meeting would make no difference.
