Apex Legends’ Godzilla collab is the closest I’ve come to re-downloading the game in years

Apex Legends is adding Godzilla to its Storm Point map in a limited-time collaboration, an event that has persuaded a lapsed player to consider returning. The crossover promotes the film Godzilla Minus Zero and includes a giant Godzilla causing destruction during matches, alongside themed items and Twitch drops.

The event features 10 Legend skins and nine weapon skins, with 35 items in total. A player would need about 29,300 Apex Coins, valued in the article at roughly $300, to unlock everything; the event is due to begin on 10 November. Players can enter a blast zone before Godzilla’s Heat Ray hits to find a Care Package containing a Devotion that fires a heat ray and tracks enemies on impact.
