Award-Winning Duo Behind Niko and the Sword of Light Launch New Interactive Fantasy Comic
Bobby Chiu and Jim Bryson have launched *Magrid’s Magic Shoppe*, an interactive fantasy comic that readers explore by zooming into its artwork to uncover clues and solve puzzles. The project builds on their Emmy-winning collaboration *Niko and the Sword of Light*, and aims to bring comics, animation and games together in a form Bryson says feels like exploring a drawing.
The Kickstarter campaign, which ends on 6 November, will fund the comic and help develop An Infinite Story, a toolkit intended to let independent artists create and earn from interactive artwork without programming skills or a large studio. The project uses Bryson’s hand-drawn art and offers rewards including early access, art books, signed collectibles, original art and a chance to appear as an illustrated character.
