Bluesky has introduced a new feature allowing users to hide reposts from specific accounts they follow, giving people more control over what appears in their feeds without having to unfollow someone entirely. The update addresses a common frustration on social platforms, where users may want to keep following someone for their original posts while avoiding a stream of unrelated reposts they share.

To use the feature, users go to a person's profile, tap the three-dot menu, and select "Hide reposts in feeds" — a similar option already exists on X. Bluesky also announced a beta feature that automatically numbers posts within long threads, saving users from doing so manually; this mirrors a feature already offered by Meta's Threads. The thread-numbering option can be switched on in Bluesky's settings.
