At a rally ahead of a Donald Trump event in Las Vegas, an audience member booed as Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo called for a moment of silence for a police officer killed on duty. Lombardo immediately rebuked the reaction, saying the audience should not boo the officer, and appeared visibly angry; the incident drew attention because it interrupted a tribute to a recent death.

The officer, Austin “Zade” Abdelnabi, was 30 and served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department; he was also a US Marines veteran. He was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday, and Lombardo introduced the tribute on Wednesday at the Red Rock Resort on the outskirts of Las Vegas.
