Bose has released the first hardware refresh of its QuietComfort headphones in three years, bringing several features down from the pricier QuietComfort Ultra line alongside new noise-cancellation and connectivity upgrades. The update brings the mainstream QuietComfort range closer to the flagship model's capabilities, giving buyers spatial audio and clearer dialogue features without paying Ultra prices, while also modernising the headphones' audio connections for wired use and video calls.

The refreshed headphones gain Bose's Immersive Audio spatial sound feature and a Cinema Mode for clearer dialogue, both previously exclusive to the QuietComfort Ultra. They now support two-way USB-C audio, enabling wired lossless playback up to 24bit/48kHz, clearer voice pickup on calls, and use while charging. Noise cancellation has also been improved, responding more naturally to sudden noise spikes in Aware Mode, while the six-microphone ANC system better compensates for seal gaps caused by glasses. The design has been refreshed too, with a new headband, thicker cushioning, oval earcups and several colour options; the new QuietComfort headphones cost $359, with pre-orders opening on 8 August and shipping from 13 August 2026.
