Duplass Brothers Board Jan Naszewski’s Oscar-Qualifying Short ‘Exam’ As Executive Producers

Mark Duplass, Mel Eslyn and Jay Duplass have joined Jan Naszewski’s Polish short comedy Exam as executive producers through Duplass Brothers Productions. Their involvement connects the film with a prominent independent production company and signals a potential wider collaboration with Naszewski and New Europe.

Co-written by Naszewski and comedian Agnieszka Matan, the film stars Matan with Sebastian Stankiewicz, Piotr Polak and Sebastian Łach. It follows a couple asked to pose as a model pair during their therapist’s board exam, where an international committee, a poor interpreter and hidden frustrations disrupt the session. Exam has screened at festivals including Encounters, Chicago and Flickerfest, and won audience awards in Adelaide and at Italy’s Sedicicorto festival.
