Elden Ring Nightreign is dead, but modders are dabbing on its corpse, with one porting an entire Dark Souls 2 DLC zone as a playable map

PC Gamer · 1 hour ago

A modder named Doneda has released a playable Nightreign map recreating Dark Souls 2’s Frozen Eleum Loyce and Frigid Outskirts. The project highlights how the modding community is continuing to expand the game after FromSoftware appears to have ended regular support.

The map is designed to suit Nightreign’s open-ended structure, including a late-game area based around the Burnt Ivory King arena, and is available through Nightreign Nexus. Players need Mod Engine 3 to use it; other community projects include Seamless Co-op and ports of weapons from Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree and Dark Souls 3.

  • Modder ports Dark Souls 2’s Eleum Loyce into Nightreign.
  • The map is available through Nightreign Nexus.
  • Fan projects are filling the gap left by limited official support.
