Exclusive: ‘The Immortal John Triptych’ Will Split Sides On Switch 1 & 2 Next Month

Nintendo Life · 4 hours ago

Nintendo Life has revealed that The Immortal John Triptych, previously announced in April, will launch on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on 27th August 2026. Developed by Joe Richardson, the release bundles together his trilogy of comic point-and-click adventures — Death of the Reprobate, The Procession To Calvary, and Four Last Things — alongside extra content and behind-the-scenes material, positioning it as the definitive edition of his Renaissance-art-inspired slapstick games.

Each of the three games has its own standalone story with recurring characters and themes set within a shared world built from hundreds of years of Renaissance, Rococo and Romanticism-era paintings, paired with a classical soundtrack recorded on period instruments. The remastered package features a modernised interface with a "verb coin" interaction menu, a unified UI overhaul, previously unseen deleted and bonus scenes, quality-of-life improvements and full controller support. Nintendo Life plans to publish a full review closer to launch.
