Greens could fail to win any seats in London at next election, new poll shows
A new MRP poll suggests Labour could win a record 59 or 60 of London’s 75 seats at the next election, while the Greens may win none. The findings point to a shift in the capital’s left-of-centre vote towards Labour, strengthening its position after a difficult period under its previous leadership.
The poll puts Labour on 34 per cent in London, up nine points since July, while the Greens are down three points to 18 per cent. It projects six Liberal Democrat seats in south-west London and a Reform UK gain in Bexleyheath and Crayford; nationally, it gives Labour 353 seats and a majority of 56. Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now surveyed 6,699 people between 25 September and 2 October.
