Houthi rebels launched missiles and drones at targets in Saudi Arabia, including energy and infrastructure sites, in an escalation of the Yemen war. The attacks heightened concern that the conflict could spread further across the region and disrupt oil supplies at a time of already strained global energy markets.

Saudi authorities said they intercepted a ballistic missile and nine armed drones aimed at Jizan, Khamis Mushait, Taif, Yanbu and Dhahran al-Janub, with no reported deaths. Reported targets included an Aramco liquefied-gas plant in Yanbu, a fuel facility in Jizan, a desalination plant and a power station; Saudi Arabia said refinery output was temporarily reduced.
