HP launches OmniBook 5 laptop with OLED touchscreen from $699
HP has introduced the OmniBook 5, a laptop starting at $699 that pairs a relatively low price with features such as an OLED touchscreen. It gives buyers another option for a lightweight Windows laptop with a higher-end display.
The 2.5K screen has a 180-degree hinge, and configurations can include up to an Intel Core 7 processor. HP claims up to 42 hours of battery life based on local video playback, so demanding tasks may reduce that figure; the base model has 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The 11.77mm-thick laptop weighs just over 2.5 pounds, includes two USB-C ports and an FHD IR camera, and is due to go on sale this month in four colours.
