James Bond Officially Returns for a New 6-Part Adventure
Grant Morrison will write *Sunbreaker*, a new six-part James Bond comic from IDW Publishing, announced in partnership with Ian Fleming Publications. The story matters as a fresh assignment for one of fiction’s most recognisable spies, with Morrison bringing experience reworking established characters while drawing on their history.
The adventure will introduce unfamiliar enemies, new cars and gadgets, and a villain inspired by current headlines, though the antagonist and the threat behind the title have not been revealed. Morrison describes Bond as “a killer shark among minnows” and says the setting will reflect the present in a distorted way; the supporting cast, artist and publication date are also unannounced.
