Bit Bot Media is preparing a BackerKit crowdfunding campaign for Thief: Pulse of Promise, an officially licensed graphic novel based on the acclaimed dark fantasy stealth video game series. The book marks a return for the franchise's original antihero, master thief Garrett, and Collider has been given an exclusive first look at the cover art for the Deluxe Hardcover Edition. It follows last year's Thief VR: Legacy of Shadows, the series' virtual reality revival, which notably starred a new orphan thief named Magpie rather than Garrett himself.

The self-contained story is set between the first game, Thief: The Dark Project, and its sequel, Thief II: The Metal Age, following Garrett as a seemingly routine heist leads him to uncover secrets of the Keepers, along with mysterious powers and a boy who may shape the city's future. It is written by Joshua Viola and Sean Eads, with the Deluxe cover by Marvel and DC artist Tyler Kirkham and a Limited Edition cover by Claudio Mastronardi. Viola, a co-owner of Bit Bot, said the project was developed in close collaboration with original publisher Eidos-Montréal to honour the game's legacy, featuring familiar characters such as Artemus and Father Karras.
