Mom accused of slaughtering husband, toddler at Great Wolf Lodge could face death penalty: PI
Pennsylvania prosecutors say Metallica Rose Harrison killed her husband, Charles “Chaz” Harrison, and their three-year-old son at Great Wolf Lodge. A private investigator says she could face the death penalty if convicted, but the prospect of an execution is remote because Pennsylvania has a gubernatorial moratorium.
Harrison, 27, is accused of stabbing the pair with kitchen knives allegedly brought from home and is due in court on 3 November. Pennsylvania requires a first-degree murder conviction and a statutory aggravating circumstance for a death sentence; a victim under 12 can qualify. The investigator said the alleged use of knives may point to premeditation, while possible mitigating circumstances could include mental illness; he also raised speculation about a possible murder-suicide plot.
- Harrison is accused of killing her husband and young son.
- A death sentence is legally possible if she is convicted.
- Pennsylvania has halted executions under a gubernatorial moratorium.
