Netflix’s ‘Dealies’ Will Be a More Comedy-Focused Joe Bennet Series

Netflix’s upcoming adult animated series Dealies will bring Joe Bennet’s offbeat style to a workplace comedy set in a big-box store. Expected in 2027, it marks a shift towards a more recognisable everyday setting after Bennet’s surreal science-fiction series Scavengers Reign and conspiracy comedy Common Side Effects.

The episodic show centres on unusual shop employees and the person who hired them, with an antique shop across the street offering competition. Its characters include a “savant salesman”, a “gentle gladiator” and a “summoner of the divine”; they are described as skilled at commerce but not always focused on work. Bennet and writer Ted Travelstead are showrunners, writers and executive producers, and Netflix has not given a specific release date.
