BBC World · 2 hours ago

More than 1,000 news organisations are backing World News Day, sharing editorials, adverts and cartoons to promote trusted journalism. Co-organiser Branko Brkic says news providers must adapt and work together as audiences turn increasingly to social media and AI for news; he warns that society depends on reliable reporting and facts.

Ofcom reports that 20% of people in the UK use AI tools to access news, while traditional providers are still viewed as more trustworthy, accurate and impartial than online platforms.
