Reco raises $55M as AI agent security startups crowd the market

TechCrunch · 2 hours ago

Reco has raised $55 million as businesses adopt AI agents faster than their security teams can track them. The funding reflects growing investor interest in tools that help organisations discover and control agents, amid a crowded market of at least two dozen vendors with overlapping security offerings.

Reco says its platform maps agents to the apps, people, accounts and permissions they can access, so teams can identify risks and remove unnecessary access. It reported finding 21,000 previously unknown agents at one Fortune 100 customer, and an agent linked to a former employee that could access Salesforce and share data with an unseen domain at a financial services firm. The round follows a $30 million Series B in February; Reco says its valuation has more than doubled since then, its annual recurring revenue is in the tens of millions of dollars, and it expects revenue to triple this year.

  • Reco raised $55 million to expand its AI agent security business.
  • Its platform aims to find agents and limit their access.
  • The company expects annual recurring revenue to triple this year.
