Remember your Paradox account? No? Well you might want to look into that because it could be deleted next year
Paradox Interactive, the publisher of complex strategy games, has announced plans to delete dormant user accounts beginning in March 2027 as a database maintenance effort. The company will remove accounts showing no login activity since September 2025 in order to improve system performance and reduce operational overhead.
Most players will experience minimal impact from this policy, as game libraries and locally stored progress files operate independently of account status and will remain accessible. The primary risk affects a limited group: users with inactive accounts holding unclaimed game activation codes, who could lose the ability to redeem those titles. For most other players, the deletion primarily removes account-related services including multiplayer functionality and forum participation.
- Paradox Interactive will delete inactive accounts (no login since September 2025) starting March 2027
- Games and saved files remain unaffected; mainly impacts multiplayer and account data
- Risk exists for inactive accounts with unclaimed game codes
