A former showjumper, Kelly Ogier, 34, from Guernsey, rode her horse Tink down the aisle at her wedding as a tribute to her late father, who could not be present to give her away. She said the loss of her father had put her off marrying, and that having Tink accompany her was the "most meaningful tribute" she could give him, bringing his presence back into the moment.

Kelly and Tink had a successful showjumping career together before injuries to both of them ended their competitive partnership two years ago, making the wedding entrance an emotional final chapter for the pair. Her husband, Justin, 37, also a showjumper, along with her mother and bridesmaids, knew of the plan in advance, but most guests were taken by surprise. Tink navigated the crowd calmly despite a nearby pond, and even stayed for the reception, posing for photos with guests on what the couple described as a "magical" day.
