Supernatural Thriller ‘Snapshot’ Gets Sales Deal Ahead Of Edinburgh & Frightfest Bows, Watch First Clip
UK-French sales company Alief has acquired worldwide sales rights to Joseph Archer’s supernatural thriller *Snapshot* before its premieres at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and Frightfest London. The deal gives the film an international sales representative as it seeks festival attention, including competition for Edinburgh’s Sean Connery Prize.
Set in 1888, the film follows an inventor of early moving-image technology documenting an all-women ghost-hunting group investigating East London murders they believe were committed by a monster. Shot in a circular 1:1 aspect ratio to evoke pinhole-camera imagery, it uses Victorian sensationalist journalism and misinformation to comment on modern fake news; its cast includes Tom Stourton, Cathy Wippell and Freya Parks.
