Two metal detectorists, Alan Daniels and Andy Crammond, reportedly found three Bronze Age gold torcs near Carlisle, England, after years of unsuccessful searching. The discovery is significant because the bracelets are believed to be ancient artefacts of substantial historical and financial value.

The find was made in May and was reported to be worth six figures. Daniels, 48, and Crammond, 34, uncovered the torcs using metal detectors; such objects are typically associated with Bronze Age Britain and may offer evidence about wealth, craftsmanship and trade during the period.
