Jason Dohring, best known for playing Logan Echolls in “Veronica Mars”, has stepped back from acting to concentrate on regenerative farming. He says his interest in gardening developed about four years ago and has grown into a commitment to producing food without chemicals, motivated by his belief that poor-quality food is contributing to ill health.

Dohring began growing in Los Angeles, then developed a 14-acre farm in West Virginia where 4,000 fruit trees were planted, before moving with his wife and four children to an 11-acre farm in Florida. He cited Florida’s rainfall and farming conditions as advantages over drought-prone California; his latest acting role was in “SEAL Team” in 2021, though he says he may return to acting.
