Vietnamese cinema has historically had limited international reach beyond Southeast Asia and Vietnamese communities abroad, unlike neighbouring film industries such as Thailand and South Korea, which have developed strong reputations for horror and thriller productions. This film represents an effort to expand Vietnamese horror cinema's global profile through international distribution and market presentations.

"Bloodline: The Curse Within" tells the story of a prominent surgeon whose family is targeted by a vengeful ghost connected to his past, blending supernatural horror with themes of medicine and family. The film offers a distinctly Vietnamese perspective on the genre.

The Asian Contents & Film Market in Busan, South Korea, is a major industry event where filmmakers present projects to international distributors and buyers seeking content for global audiences. A successful presentation there can lead to distribution deals that bring a film to cinemas and streaming platforms worldwide, potentially introducing Vietnamese horror cinema to viewers who would not otherwise encounter it.
