Collider · 1 hour ago

The Fast & Furious franchise, which has evolved over two decades into one of Hollywood's largest commercial properties since its breakthrough with 2015's Furious 7 ($1.5 billion globally), will conclude with Fast Forever arriving in March 2028. The final installment reunites Vin Diesel with returning performers Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, building on their successful earlier collaboration Hobbs & Shaw, under the direction of Louis Leterrier with a script by Michael Lesslie and Christina Hodson.

The completed screenplay emerged following an extended four-year development process involving multiple writers. During remarks at the franchise's anniversary event, Diesel disclosed that reading the finished script produced a significant emotional reaction, describing moments of tears during his review of the material and characterising the experience as evidence that vulnerability can emerge even among those perceived as tough.
