World Of Warcraft Is Coming To D&D, And Will Let You Grind Renown Just Like The MMO

GameSpot · 8 hours ago

Dungeons & Dragons will receive an official World of Warcraft crossover sourcebook, bringing Azeroth’s setting, characters and role-playing systems to the tabletop game. The release is notable as D&D’s first Universes Beyond crossover, a branding approach already used for licensed Magic: The Gathering products. It aims to let players recreate Warcraft-style adventures without playing the online game.

The 256-page hardcover will include rules for 13 Warcraft classes, including nine new or revised subclasses and more than 40 specialisations, alongside 16 playable species. It will also feature more than 60 spells, over 25 magic items, 50-plus monsters, 30 dungeon-boss stat blocks, seven dungeons and 23 factions. Those factions will use Renown rewards, adapting the MMO’s progression-style reputation grind for tabletop campaigns; early access begins on 3 November, before full release on 17 November.

  • D&D is officially crossing over with World of Warcraft.
  • The book adds Azeroth factions, classes, dungeons and monsters.
  • Renown rewards bring MMO-style progression to tabletop play.
