Keanu Reeves will return as John Wick in an animated prequel about his impossible task

Keanu Reeves will reprise John Wick in an animated prequel about the character’s “Impossible Task”, the mission he completed to earn freedom from the High Table. The film will show Wick trying to kill all his rivals in a single night, adding detail to a key part of his backstory.

Shannon Tindle, director of Ultraman: Rising, will helm the film, with Ryan and Firpo writing the script. Reeves will also produce alongside Chad Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. Though Wick died at the end of John Wick 4, Reeves has appeared in the prequel Ballerina and is set to return for John Wick 5.
