OpenAI’s latest AI models are coming to Google Cloud and Antigravity
OpenAI’s GPT-6 and GPT-6.1 models are coming to Google Cloud, giving businesses another option alongside Google’s Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude. The deal also brings GPT models to Google’s Antigravity coding tool, widening access for developers and making Google Cloud a venue for all three leading closed AI model providers.
The models, including GPT-6.1 Astra, Sol and Luna, are entering private preview for selected enterprise customers, with a broader launch expected in the coming weeks. They will run on Google’s infrastructure and be available through its Model Garden and Cloud Marketplace; Google says workloads can shift between models based on performance, latency and efficiency. OpenAI says Microsoft remains its primary cloud partner, while Google has not confirmed exactly which GPT models Antigravity will support.
